Plan: 1094

Scale: ⅛” – 1’0” (Length of hull 30¾“)

The Gorch Fock was the first of a fleet of fine barque-rigged training ships built by Germany between the two wars.  They were all from the same general design, and one of these is now the American training ship Eagle.  The following plans are from the original yard drawings of Gorch Fock, but they also include notes and separate drawings of the detail differences between that vessel and Eagle, and can therefore be used for building an accurate model of either.

The original ships were Gorch Fock, Horst Wessel (now Eagle), and Albert Leo Schiageter.  The Rumanian Mircea was also from the same general design.
